About the project

ZecBit is an NFT project and planned marketplace for digital collectibles issued as Zcash Shielded Assets. It is designed to keep asset issuance, supply and provenance publicly verifiable while keeping ownership, balances and transfers private through Zcash’s shielded asset model.

The project includes the Genesis collection, an allowlist flow, the ZMD-1 metadata specification, an indexer, registry, Mint Studio and a non-custodial trading architecture. Some components are live or tested on the ZSA development network, while full native mainnet support depends on future ZSA activation on Zcash.
