About the project

Midas’ core product is tokenized investment products, which it calls mTokens. It takes real investment strategies or portfolios and turns them into crypto tokens that people can hold and use onchain.

Midas is a blockchain-based financial infrastructure platform that creates tokenized investment products designed to mirror institutional-grade strategies onchain. Its products include tokenized strategies such as mBASIS (a delta-neutral basis trading strategy), mTBILL (U.S. Treasury Bill exposure), and other diversified yield vehicles that give users exposure to traditional and crypto-native strategies via ERC-20 tokens.

Investors can instant-mint and redeem these tokenized products using crypto, with issuance and redemption governed by transparent smart contracts and eligibility criteria.

The protocol emphasizes regulatory compliance, rigorous transparency, and institutional-style risk controls, including proof-of-reserve oracles and independent verification agents for underlying collateral pricing.

Midas products are composable in DeFi, meaning they can be used across other decentralized applications once minted. It operates under clearly defined eligibility and risk frameworks to ensure that participants understand DeFi and smart contract risks prior to interacting.

The system supports instant issuance/redemption but can revert to queued standard redemption during certain market conditions.

Backed by institutional investors and custodians, Midas bridges traditional finance concepts with onchain asset management while aiming to make complex strategies accessible via tokenization.
