What D3 and Doma are

D3 is building a network to tokenize internet domains as real-world assets. It converts existing and future domain names like .com, .org, .ai, and .xyz into tradable tokens on-chain while keeping them compliant with ICANN and DNS standards.

The Doma Protocol is a purpose-built blockchain for this. It has a testnet running and mainnet live. The Doma app connects to registrars to bring millions of domains on-chain, turning them into tokens or NFTs, and lets users bridge them to other ecosystems.

The project closed a $30M round backed by Paradigm and Coinbase Ventures among 16 investors across multiple tiers.

How the airdrop and points program work

D3 is running a points-based program tied to a potential future airdrop. There is no guaranteed reward, and terms can change. Participants earn points through trading, holding domain tokens, providing liquidity, registering domains, and completing quests.

A level system (Tenant, Landlord, Developer, Mogul, Tycoon, Baron) gives point multipliers. Weekly leaderboard bonuses reward top 25% and top 50% participants, and a referral program gives 10% of points from users you invite.

The Frontier program started in September 2026, awarding 10,000 bonus points for signup. Deposits earn 1 point per day per dollar deposited. Early epochs carry multipliers. A SOL Internet Vault deposit option also earns points daily.

Special campaigns include Lucky 888 (invite 8 users, each completing 8 trades of at least $88, with 5,000 tokenized domains available to winners), Applications.com (2% of token supply available to buyers who hold 30 days), and Genesis Badges (lifetime point boosts for early participants).

What it costs and takes

The estimated cost is about $55 and time about 69 minutes for core tasks. Costs vary widely depending on your choices: you can trade for small amounts, deposit into vaults, or mint domains at higher prices.

Activities are spread across the Doma mainnet app, Frontier program, vault deposits, trading, domain registration, quest completion, and optional Galxe campaigns. Some tasks are closed, but many remain open and ongoing.

You need a wallet, and for mainnet you bridge assets to the Doma network. Vault deposits start at any amount. Some quests or badges have specific requirements like minimum holds, transaction counts, or domain token quantities.

Who it suits and what to watch

This project fits people comfortable with wallets, trading, and blockchain platforms. It appeals to those interested in domain tokenization or real-world asset infrastructure.

A few things stand out: the mainnet has been live since November 2025, Solana integration exists, and the team regularly launches new campaigns and products. Creating your own domains is currently whitelisted, though the team plans to open it to all users.
