About the project
Crest is a self-custodial Bitcoin wallet and privacy application. It generates and stores private keys locally on the user’s device, while the company states that it does not custody funds, access seed phrases, or require account registration.
The application uses a zero-knowledge privacy pool on Citrea to shield Bitcoin balances, addresses, transaction amounts, and payment relationships. Crest also presents private Bitcoin swaps as a planned or beta-stage feature.
