About the project

What Backtrade is

Backtrade is a perpetuals exchange on HyperEVM. Traders open isolated-margin positions against a USDC liquidity pool. The exchange uses Hyperliquid price data to execute trades at the midpoint of the best bid and ask prices, without an order book or funding payments.

How the exchange works

When a trader loses money or gets liquidated, the exchange mints BACK tokens to them. BACK can be staked to earn a share of trading fees paid in USDC. At launch, BACK is not transferable, but staking and unstaking are supported.

Profits come from the USDC liquidity pool. If the pool cannot pay a winning trader immediately, the payout enters a queue and is paid in order.

The whitelist

The waitlist gives you access to the exchange and lets you build trading volume early. You enter your wallet address and email to join. The entry takes about one minute and costs nothing.

Who it suits

This is for traders who are comfortable with perpetuals, margin trading, and leverage. You need a wallet and access to HyperEVM.

Risks and what to watch for

  • Perpetuals trading and leverage can result in full loss of your capital. Liquidation can happen quickly, especially at high leverage.
  • The BACK token is new and its value is unproven. Staking rewards depend on trading volume and fees.
  • If the USDC liquidity pool runs low, winning traders may face delays or shortfalls when claiming profits.
  • Rules and tokenomics can change at any time before or after launch.
